PARADISE

Oh I want to go with you to paradise,

To dwell in your presence day and night,

I want to walk by your side on the streets of gold,

And drink from the fountain of living water,

To dine with you and eat of the bread of life,

And go stargazing, watch you name them one by one.

Till they are finally replaced by the sun.

THIS IS HERO WORSHIP

If you placed the stars in the sky and still know them all by name,

How come you still remember mine?

If you make out time to hear everyone on Earth as they call out to you,

How come you even recognise my voice?

If all the hairs on my head were tongues,

I still wouldn’t praise you enough,

You are beyond measure,

No one can ever be compared to you, oh my King.

Your greatness is undisputable,

Your power undeniable,

You alone are unquestionable,

And your ways are unsearchable.

Yes, this is hero worship.

The King’s Beloved (Àyànfé)

Handsomely robed in splendour,

Clothed in beauty and enthroned in majesty,

He is the King,

He is my King.

Yes, this is hero worship.

He’s so strong; mighty men shake at the sight of him,

He’s so powerful and influential; he is the King of all Kings,

He’s so filthy rich; he owns all the cattle on the hills.

And he loves me!

Gasp!

Faints…

I’m back!

He loves me!!!

I can’t even get my mind around it sometimes.

No matter how much I get used to it I can never really be used to it.

Little insignificant me.

Sometimes I wonder who am I, that he is mindful of me,

That he cares about me,

That he has my name engraved in the palm of his hand,

He says that I’m the apple of his eye

Swoon!

He’s so awesome!

Cue dreamy sigh.

I love my King and he loves me more.

This kind of love takes some getting used to.

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

I can’t believe that I was so caught up in all my achievements today that I forgot to do this.

*Clears Throat*

I would like to use this moment on this special day that my blog is a year old to thank the giver of life, the source of all things, my friend and my King, my muse, my light. My best-est-est friend in the whole world.
Thank you God. I am so thankful for all you have done for me, for my blog, for my friends, for everything!

So with my heart full of gratitude,
My lips full of praises,

My mind in awe of who you are,

And my soul rejoicing in your presence.

I have come to say thank you. Thank you for being God; thank you for being My God. Thank you for its been a year now, thank you for a hundred posts.

Thank you for every thing.

MY FEAR IV

Click here for previous post.
1 John 4:18 KJV

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

_________

And that’s how I found the perfect scripture to end this.

‘There is no fear in love for perfect love casts out fear.’

BAM!

MOUNTAINS

So, the ATM in my school has been temporarily out of service for close to 3 weeks now, I was meant to be out of money by Tuesday, but, due to good financial wisdom I managed to have enough to take me through even today, but as of yesterday I was on the verge of stranded.

I was praying with a group of my friends- sisters last night and I just told them to help a sister out and speak life to the ATM that had been dead for over 3 weeks, the ATM that was supposed to have been fixed last week and started malfunctioning on the very day it was, someone even tried to explain logically what was wrong with the ATM, but I didn’t care, I went on to ask my sisters to pray along with me because there’s no logic with God.

So I woke up with my last card today and I was not to be bothered, some students were leaving school to Ibadan today and were collecting ATM’s to withdraw for people, I considered giving them mine, but on my way to class this morning, I saw the black van which usually signified something good as regards the ATM (although, the last time it came in most people were thoroughly disappointed… and a few times before that also)

Anyways, I remembered that I’d prayed concerning the ATM the previous night and I had faith it was going to work, and that’s the thing about faith; you don’t see any proof of it, but you know it’s on the way. So, I let them go off to Ibadan without my ATM card all the while thinking that if the ATM machine I was banking on did not work, then I’d be totally screwed.

Long story short, I was the first person that the ATM machine dispensed for today, that krrr sound was music to my ears as my faith became a reality.

Hebrews 11:1 KJV

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I don’t know what you’re asking God for right now, but I know that he’s well within the means to get it done. It could be more important than provision or very trivial and seemingly insignificant, but as long as it’s important to you, commit it to his hands. Close your eyes and watch faith bring to reality what logic and or reason can not.

Never forget. If you have faith; you can move mountains.
